Letters to the Editors

Thank you to everybody who sent in letters. all the feedback and suggestions were very much appreciated. Here is a sample of some of the comments we received.

Editors

First issue of the T.A. News Journal

Your first edition was great! Very powerful articles & such.

Thank you,

I just read the journal from cover to cover and I would like to continue receiving it. I would imagine the role to be quite a responsibility. As for the articles, I found many of them to be very well written and helpful in shaping my perspective of the events addressed.” A Vicious Cycle” and  “The News: Fact or Fabrication” were particularly helpful. As you might predict, I took issue with the article “With Respect for All Life.”  As an avid fisherman, I disagreed with many of Jennifer’s positions, but that was not the reason I took issue with her article. I respect her right to an opinion. I do take issue with the perspective from which she approaches her thesis. She appears to be so certain that hunting and fishing is so inherently wrong that she defines the actions of all those who participate in those sports as wrong.  I guess I have little patience with those individuals who are so certain that they are right that anyone who does not share their belief is wrong. I believe that such black and white thinking is the genesis of the fanaticism that now so greatly plagues the world. I think that maybe she needs to write an article entitled “With Respect for All Positions.”   :)

Editor’s Response: Sorry Bill. In order to honor all life forms, we have to honor the alive life of those life forms. Logically, this means it is incorrect to take life, any life, for sport.

Read it from start to finish and enjoyed it very much. Thank you for sending one my way. Full of teachings to carry with yourself throughout life’s journey.

Aloha Editors of Transcendental Awareness News Journal,

Thank you for the timely article “A Vicious Cycle:  Hate vs. Hate.”  Our family and neighbors have been dealing with increased random acts of violence and peeping toms the last few months; and, it is helpful to have a sense of clarity beyond the wave of fear that seems to have increased in the surrounding cities and communities of Sacramento County.  It is also helpful to be reminded of where our attention lies can and does make a difference.  Often it is easy to suddenly feel the ripple of insignificance in what difference one is able to make in a situation where there is an increase of energy so chaotic and angry.  Your article gave a sense of empowerment in a difficult situation—thank you, thank you, thank you.  There is a gentle change taking place—sobering with a greater attention to illusions....

The Transcendental Awareness News Journal gifts responsible reporting—a delightfully fresh breath easily breathed deeply and clearly empowering.  It is the first paper I’ve been able to drink in everything written—soul nourishment.

Hello TA Journal,

Thank you for publishing this wonderful journal. I have a copy of the workplace article printed to pin up at my workstation when I return to work in a couple of days.

I note the ‘comment on this article’ link prompts my PC to open Microsoft outlook. This program is not setup on my PC.….I could copy your general email address…and log onto my online email service….But I find I lose the flow from the article by this time, and choose not to provide comment….Would you be able to provide a different means for providing comment to articles? A possibility could involve an online forum style of comment….Thank you for your consideration.

Editor’s Response: Bianca, thank you for the feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed the Journal, and found the Workplace article so helpful. In addition, we are looking into your suggestion about a better system for leaving comments for the on-line version of the paper. Suggestions like this are very much appreciated. It helps us make the website as user-friendly as possible.
