For generations, National Geographic Magazine has vividly depicted the natural wonders of the world and brought to life the people and places that are a part of it.  However, in a recent article titled Hunters: For Love of the Land, the magazine undermines its traditional stance of respect for the world and its inhabitants, by advocating the position that killing animals is for the greater good, which is inherently contradictory.  To slaughter sentient life is never for the good of the whole, because they are part of the whole.
